Russian services for business and users
"There have been practically no notable updates of AI models on the domestic market over the last month. Let us note only the announcement of MWS AI (part of MTS Web Services). The company presented a new generation of multimodal neural network Cotype Light 3. It is focused on the creation of corporate AI-agents, for which the use of resources has been optimized: it is stated that the model can be deployed on "standard server gas pedals".
"Yandex" continues to scale its "Alice AI". The corporation has implemented the AI assistant in a number of major services, primarily in the search engine and mail. In both cases, it is a separate dialog with "Alice", in which you can discuss the details of a particular request or ask to find the necessary information from the mailbox. In the email service, the assistant is present in the form of "Alice Pro" for an additional subscription.
Like foreign companies, Yandex is developing its own development platform - SouceCraft. A console application has been launched for business users, where programmers can give commands in natural language, and AI agents based on YandexGPT or foreign neural networks from the service's catalog will automatically write code, test it and publish it in the repository.
In general, the situation in the Russian AI segment is not the most favorable. The startup FabricaONE.AI, owned by Softline, was supposed to go public on the Moscow Exchange at the end of April, started collecting bids and in a few days raised over the required amount. But the IPO had to be canceled due to negative stock market dynamics.
At the same time, it became known about the relaxations in the draft law on AI being developed. In particular, restrictions on datasets have been removed: Russian developers will now be able to train models on any dataset without restrictions. This will not prevent neural networks from being granted the status of national and sovereign, while avoiding the degradation of quality that would otherwise be inevitable. Several other organizational barriers have also been removed, which will make it easier for domestic companies once the bill enters into force (expected in 2027)."
Figures
"About one billion rubles was spent by Russian corporations on implementing AI agents over the past three years, according to calculations by Axenix and the Lomonosov Moscow State University AI Research Center. This figure reached 200-300 million rubles for large companies, 30-60 million rubles for medium-sized businesses, and 5-15 million rubles for small businesses."
